MesClaro privacy policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Android app MesClaro (package name com.fabapps.mesclaro), developed by FabApps. If you have questions, write to feedback@fab-apps.com.

2. Data the app handles

MesClaro stores the data you enter yourself to plan your spending:

• Income and expense transactions: amount, date, due date, description and notes.
• Categories and payment methods, with the names you give them.
• Rules for recurring transactions.
• Budgets, savings goals and category limits.
• App preferences, such as the main currency.

This data is kept in the app's private storage on your device. MesClaro does not connect to banks, cards or other services, and does not read messages or notifications.

3. Data we collect

None. We have no servers that receive data from the app. MesClaro does not declare Android's Internet permission (android.permission.INTERNET), so it cannot send information off your device.

The app does not require an account or sign-in, and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying information.

4. Data shared with third parties

None. MesClaro contains no advertising, analytics tools, trackers, remote crash reporting or third-party components that collect data.

5. Permissions

MesClaro requests no Android permissions: no storage, contacts, location, camera, microphone or notifications.

To save or open a backup, the app uses the system file picker, which gives it access only to the file you choose at that moment.

6. Exports and backups

The app only creates files when you ask it to:

• Transactions CSV: created when you tap “Export” and handed to the app you choose to share it with.
• Backup: a JSON file with all your data, saved to the location you choose.

Those files are under your control. They are not encrypted and contain your financial information: be careful where you store them and who you share them with. If you send them to another app or service, that service's privacy policy applies.

MesClaro's data is excluded from Android cloud backup and from automatic device-to-device transfer.

7. Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can do that in three ways:

• Deleting transactions and rules from within the app.
• Clearing the app's data from Android settings.
• Uninstalling the app.

Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot view, recover or delete it for you. If you uninstall the app without saving a backup first, the information is lost.

8. Security

Data is kept in the app's private storage, which Android prevents other apps from accessing. MesClaro does not add its own encryption: protection depends on the security of your device, so we recommend using a screen lock.

9. Children

MesClaro is not directed at children under 13. In any case, the app collects no data from anyone, whatever their age.

10. If you write to us

If you send a message to feedback@fab-apps.com, we will receive your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use that information only to reply to you and do not share it.

11. Changes to this policy

If a future version of MesClaro changes how it handles data, we will update this page and its date before releasing that version.
